Learning Photography
This site exists to help people just starting in photography to understand a little more and get more enjoyment out of their efforts. Being an engineer, I will tend to dwell on the technical aspects somewhat. I think this is justified because, to become artistically proficient, one must understand his or her tools. While the articles might be slanted to the technical side I will attempt to decorate every page with beautiful photographs to take some of the sting out of it and to keep in sharp focus the ultimate objective.

I will not support a "forum" for discussion on this site. There are plenty of discussion forums out there. I might suggest one from time to time, but it has been my experience that the anonymous nature  of the forum tends to allow people to hijack the discussion and send it off into the weeds. I will publish a "Your Letters" a page much like in the newspaper where I get to choose which letters to publish. I am happy to offer critique of photographs sent to me both publicly or privately. Just keep in mind that my critique is worth exactly what you paid for it.
